Jeffrey Prier formed Prier Communications, LLC, in 2005 after 25 years of television experience that has taken him from coast to coast and in between.
Using a signature documentary style, Prier Communications has shot, written and produced hundreds of video productions on new homes, builders and other home and garden topics.
The company’s repertoire also includes fund development videos and special purpose videos for large events. His videos have been shown on the Internet and on broadcast television.
During his broadcasting career, Jeffrey produced, anchored and reported television news and weather and was a radio news director.
While in Seattle, he helped launch North West Cable News, providing weathercasts for the nation’s first all-digital 24-hour network.
At WTKR-TV in Norfolk, he posted daily Internet webcasts and helped to launch a proprietary desktop weather warning system.
After leaving WTKR-TV, as Assistant Professor, he taught radio and television broadcasting at The Scripps Howard School of Communications at Hampton University for two years.
He earned a master’s degree in Communications from Florida State University. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in mass communications from Southern Illinois University. He holds a broadcast seal from the American Meteorological Society.
His awards include an Emmy Nomination in 1998 for severe weather coverage in Seattle and a Heroic Action commendation from the City of Memphis.
Jeffrey’s daily broadcasts were seen in High Point, NC; Memphis; Paducah, KY; Sarasota; Fort Myers, FL, Twin Falls, ID and Seattle WA. and Norfolk VA. television markets. |
